My goodness winter is hanging on with claws and won't let go! I do believe we had several nicer days in January and more opportunities to ride outdoors than so far in March. I got outdoors for a ride on March 10th and everything else has been indoors on the trainer.
I want to hear the birdies, feel the sun on my face and the wind in my hair. I want to go outdoors without being bundled up and most of all I want to see green grass.
We've had snow on and off all winter but even the largest snowfall has been met with melt off for a perpetually grey and drab landscape all winter long.
Oh March, you are a cruel month, but I have high hopes for April!
Welcome!
It's a new year and time once again to give a new look to this blog. New graphics and colors. Same bike writer!
This blog is created not only to track my own progress on my biking journey but it is intended to also assist others who have either osteo or rheumatoid arthritis or both like I do. I hope as you read about the progress I have made that it gives you inspiration and hope that you can overcome the dibilitating effects of these conditions.
If your doctor agrees that you should be capable of expanding your limits read on and don't be afraid, just listen to your body and give it challenges. Biking is a great non-impact form of exercise and greatly enhances flexibility and range of motion.
It's not a substitute for Doctor visits, taking your meds or otherwise getting off your health plan but it auguments what your Doctor does for you and can give you a better quality of life. Go for it!

How has April been so far, D? It's been a very long winter here too - 6 months by my reckoning. The temps have finally made it above freezing here - barely - but it's raining and windy. I too long for riding with bare arms on sunny days. Hope you're well!
ReplyDeleteApril has been nearly as bad as March. I've had more riding than March but it's like a yo-yo. Yesterday the thermometer reached 80 F in some places with 25-40 mph winds, while other parts of the state were cold. Today we have snow flurries! Amen to bare arms and sunny days!
ReplyDeleteyour website is very nice.your bike is better bike than other bike..oh! nice post.thanks..
